The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, is a peaceful retreat within driving distance to the busy city of Nassau, Bahamas. Nestled on 35 perfectly manicured acres and surrounded by white sand beaches, aqua-colored water, and relaxing pools, The Ocean Club sets the bar high for romantic and luxurious travel.

Their website says, “Since opening in 1962, The Ocean Club has been a playground for celebrities and discerning travellers set along an 8-kilometre (5-mile) stretch of natural, white-sand beach on Paradise Island. Connect with Bahamian beauty in an enclave of remarkable seclusion, where intimate low-rise buildings are immersed in 14 hectares (35 acres) of Versailles-inspired lawns and gardens. Wake up to breakfast on your private balcony, then indulge in a restorative treatment in one of our Balinese-style spa villas or head out for a round of golf at Ocean Club Golf Course. However you spend your day, be sure to join us back at Martini Bar and Lounge for a nightcap – shaken not stirred, of course.”

While on our recent cruise, Ian and I were able to visit The Ocean Club for a quick day trip. Although we wish we could have had a longer stay (there is so much to do!), we had a really fantastic day and hope to go back for a longer trip next time. Check out our video below to see some clips from our time at The Ocean Club (as well as our time in St. Thomas and St. Martin).
When we arrived, we were greeted with hot tea options and a tour around the grounds – I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful the resort really is! Then, we made our way to the beach for some fun in the sun. The Bahamas, in general, is known for its gorgeous, white sand beaches and see-through, aqua-colored water, but I have been to Nassau many times in the past and I have never seen such a perfect beach. Their 5-mile beach was the perfect way to start our day.

The special thing about The Ocean Club is that it felt pretty secluded while we were visiting. While I could tell that people loved the infinity pool (for good reason, too), the other pools and the beach felt very spacious, romantic, and secluded. It almost felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. Even though it did not feel crowded, the staff was abundant and waited on us hand and foot, all day long. We went from beach to pool to another pool to pool bar and someone always found us, brought us ice cold waters, and took our drink orders immediately. The service was phenomenal!

Not only was the service amazing, the food was, as well. We had our meal right by the infinity pool and the view was jaw droppingly gorgeous. What topped it off was the gourmet meal we received. “Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten serves an imaginative blend of French-Asian cuisine with a seafood twist and a dash of Bahamian spice in an inspiring setting atop a white-sand bluff.” I tried the lobster burger and it was one of the tastiest things I have ever eaten. Every single dish was just phenomenal and so creative. I mean, just look at the pictures (we took plenty of pictures on our camera, but everything was so beautiful that it truly looks just as good on my phone!).

If you are headed to The Bahamas, I highly recommend checking out The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort for a romantic and relaxing day – you will truly find out why The Bahamas is named Paradise Island! It was truly one of the best days of my life and I cannot wait to actually stay at The Ocean Club for more than a day in the future!

Thank you so much to The Ocean Club for hosting us during our day in The Bahamas – I truly would not have wanted to spend our day any other way!
