We spent 5 days in Miramar Beach in Florida a few weeks ago and it was amazing! The sand was white, the water was so clear, and there were so many things to do…not that we did much while we were there! Miramar Beach is right by the Destin/San Destin area and it is along the “Emerald Coast,” for good reason (so pretty!). I highly recommend visiting, if you have not already.
When visiting, you will want to rent a condo on the beach for easy access. Our condo was great and came equipped with a large balcony, full kitchen (perfect in COVID times), and even a washer and dryer. Having a living room/balcony area is a huge perk when it comes to traveling with a baby, so it really was perfect for this trip!
What To Do in Miramar Beach, Florida
- The beach: obviously, the beach is something that you can do in Miramar beach. The ocean and beach area is so beautiful there and there are so many
- Deep sea fishing: deep sea fishing is one of my all time favorite things to do and last time I was in Miramar Beach with my parents, we did just that. It was a blast! After you catch your fish, take it to a nearby restaurant and they will cook it for you.
- Grand Boulevard at Sandestin: Great spot for shops and restaurants!
- Golf: Sandestin golf resort can help you out if you’re a golf-lover!
- Water sports: there are a ton of water sports like paddle boarding, parasailing, and more in the area
- Relax: and my best tip yet, whatever you do, just relax! You are on vacation!
Where To Eat In Miramar Beach, Florida
- Vin’tij Food & Wine: They are supposed to have great food! We got take out and it was good, but I think it would have been much better if we would have ate at the restaurant.
- Fat Clemenza’s: So good! They are known for all of their food, but we tried their pizza (to go) and it was great! The white pizza with prosciutto is awesome, as is their pepperoni.
- Slick Lips Seafood & Oyster House: This was just okay, but once again, we got to go (thanks, COVID), so it probably would have been much, much better in person while the food was hot. It has great reviews, so I’m sure it’s good!
- Bijoux: We did not try this, but I’ve heard that it’s great. Try it out and let me know what you think!
- Mama Clemenza’s: sister restaurant of Fat Clemenza’s – I can only imagine that it is just as good.
- Another Broken Egg Cafe: This is a pretty good chain that is also in Atlanta. Just FYI. We did not try the one in Florida, but I like the food here.
Our trip to Miramar Beach, Florida was fantastic! Honestly, although the food could have been better due to getting everything to go, it was kind of nice not having to dress up at all. We just took it easy, stayed casual, and didn’t even do our hair the entire time. SO NICE! I’d highly recommend taking a trip like this one day. 🙂
