Best restaurants on Amelia Island is what it’s all about today. My parents live on the island, and I visit them frequently. Every time Ian, Avery, and I go there, we make sure to hit our favorite restaurants, and since we’ve been so many times, I thought it was time to actually write about our favorite places to eat on the island. The island has tons of delicious dining options, and they’re all great. That being said, some stand out from the rest, so I want to share them with all of you. Without further ado, here are the best restaurants on Amelia Island.

My picks for the best restaurants on Amelia Island have something for everyone. From pizza to French cuisine, these restaurants will satisfy anyone. The food is always great when we go to any of these places, and the service and atmosphere are also on point. You really can’t go wrong with any of these fantastic restaurants.
Burlingame
This high-end restaurant is located in the downtown area. It’s pricy, but the food and the atmosphere make it worth every penny. Burlingame’s delicious food and drinks and elegant atmosphere make it the perfect date night destination. When you dine at Burlingame, you’ll find fresh seafood, beef, and pork options, including a fabulous surf & turf dinner. They use high-quality ingredients, serve made-from-scratch dishes, and offer superior (yet unobtrusive) service. Great spot for outdoor dining, too!
Mustard Seed Cafe
Mustard Seed Cafe is a unique dining option. It’s located inside a health food store (Nassau Health Foods), so you can shop for groceries and then have a tasty meal. With options like a portobello burger, pesto chicken club, and other healthy options, it’s a great place to stop in for a quick and healthy bite. It is definitely one of my favorite spots!
La Surena Restaurant
This hole in the wall Mexican restaurant isn’t fancy, but it’s 100% authentic. When you walk into this unassuming restaurant, you’ll be treated to inexpensive, authentic, and delicious Mexican fare. They have a few outdoor tables.
Bar Zin Bistro and Wine Bar
Bar Zin Bistro and Wine Bar offers some of the finest dining on the island. Offering upscale food and a wonderful atmosphere that includes outdoor patio dining, it’s one of the best restaurants on Amelia Island for people who enjoy amazing food and a fantastic atmosphere. Two major selling points for the restaurant are its great wine selection and its convenience for hotel guests. They are temporarily closed (I assume due to COVID).
Amelia Tavern Restaurant & Brewery
Offering a great tavern vibe and classic pub fare. This restaurant and brewery is a fantastic combination of simple pub eats like huge pretzels and more upscale dishes along with tons of wonderful craft beers. Located in downtown Fernandina Beach!
Beach Diner
Beach Diner is nothing fancy. That’s okay because their focus is on the food, and that’s where they really shine. The line is usually pretty long, but it’s well worth it. It offers fresh, home cooked breakfast and lunch favorites like eggs, bacon, pancakes, french toast, and waffles, along with a variety of sandwiches like smothered beef, cordon bleu, deep-fried filet of fish sandwiches, and much more.
Le Clos
Le Clos offers fine French cuisine and an atmosphere perfect for date night. Enjoy a lovely atmosphere and French favorites like poulet poulet, Pasta Pomodoro, duck, and pork tenderloin entrees along with desserts like gateau au chocolate creme brulee, and more. SO GOOD.
Timoti’s Seafood Shak
Beloved by both tourists and locals alike, Timoti’s Seafood Shak is one of the best restaurants on Amelia Island, and it’s my all-time favorite lunch spot. Timoti’s serves up super-fresh seafood main dishes and in their soups, salads, and tacos. Be sure to try their crab burger. It’s my favorite!
Safe Harbor Seafood
Another spot on the list that you’ll have to drive to get to, Safe Harbor is actually in Mayport, but you’ll be glad you took the trip when you arrive. Their seafood is absolutely unmatched anywhere in Florida. It’s caught fresh on their boats, and in addition to enjoying their delicious dining options, you can even buy fresh fish to cook at home.
The Sandbar & Kitchen
The Sandbar & Kitchen offers views that are as delicious as the food. Located right on the beach, you’ll be able to enjoy delicious fare like crab & lobster cake, chicken quesadillas, fried calamari, salads, sandwiches, and more, all while enjoying beautiful views of the water. Be absolutely certain that you try their pina coladas. They’re the best on the island (only competing with Sliders pina coladas!).
Moon River Pizza
Moon River Pizza is a great little pizza joint that’s always a winner. The pizza is absolutely delicious, and the restaurant offers all the toppings we all know and love. In addition, you can choose from several beers and wines to pair with your pie, as well. Their white pizza is bomb!!!
