This post is sponsored by The InterContinental San Francisco, but all opinions are my own. We really cannot wait to go back and stay there again! Thank you to The InterContinental San Francisco, as well as San Francisco Travel for hosting me during my trip.
Filled with warm tones, natural elements, contemporary art, and cozy corners, The sleek InterContinental San Francisco’s 32 stories can be seen shining throughout the city. This LEED® EBOM Gold Certified hotel is perfect for the business traveler, or for the average traveler looking for a luxurious stay while exploring the city. It is located in the SoMa neighborhood in San Francisco and is within walking distance of Union Square, upscale restaurants, and bars, and other major San Francisco tourist attractions (we walked to China Town and Little Italy from the hotel). For business travelers specifically, you will be happy to know that The InterContinental San Francisco is adjacent from the Moscone West Convention Center.
The reason I titled the post, “Sleeping High in the Sky at The InterContinental San Francisco” is due to the jaw-dropping floor-to-ceiling windows in the 550 guest rooms, which also includes 14 suites. We honestly felt like we were flying over the city of San Francisco – the view was amazing! Pro Tip: Request a high floor, as well as club access, in order to make the most of your experience.
Our king corner room was filled with warm, happy tones, wood, and marble accents, and a lot of fantastic perks such as complimentary water, a welcome platter (so gorgeous and yummy!), plush robes and slippers, premium bath amenities, and more. The turndown service was one of our favorite perks — they always left behind chocolate, waters, and our slippers, right by our bedside. We felt like we were getting surprise after surprise each time we walked in our room. It was such a luxurious and fun experience.
Like I mentioned above, I highly recommend having club access while booking a stay at The InterContinental San Francisco. Club level rooms are located on the top three floors of the building, which also happen to have the best views. You will also gain access to the 6th floor of the building, which includes complimentary breakfast, snacks throughout the day, happy hour, specialty coffee, and more. It was by far our favorite part of The InterContinental San Francisco!
The 6th floor is also home to the fitness center, pool, and an outdoor sitting/lounging area. We loved hanging out in the lounge chairs with a cup of coffee, or a drink from happy hour!
Overall, our stay at The InterContinental San Francisco was flawless – we did not have one issue our entire stay. We had fantastic service, the amenities and room were top notch, and we loved the perk of the club access. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel! Check out more pictures from our stay below:
