Offering (amazing) Dim Sum, Dumpling Time sits conveniently in the SoMa area of San Francisco. We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before they opened and there was already a line, which is how we originally knew that it was going to be amazing.
After our meal at Okane, we thought that another restaurant could not compete, but as soon as we walked into Dumpling Time in San Francisco, I automatically knew that our taste buds were in for a really good treat. In fact, anytime people ask where they should visit in San Francisco, I always recommend Dumpling Time. It is that good! One of my favorite aspects of the restaurant is the glass-enclosed dumpling room. You can watch as your dumplings are made from scratch – it was so neat!
We started off our meal with hot tea followed by a slew of dumplings, including dessert dumplings, which were fantastic. The food was so fresh, the flavors combined perfectly together, and we were in dim sum heaven.
With the help of our waiter, we ordered: Garlicky green beans, Crispy sesame tofu squares, Crispy vegetable spring rolls, Cucumber, Fresno chili salad, Pork Gyoza, pork bao, Maine lobster Siu Mai, a King-dum, and the three-sum dessert dumplings. It sure was a lot of food!
Everything was amazing, but some of our favorites were the garlicky green beans, crispy sesame tofu squares, cucumber, Fresno chili salad, pork bao, king-dum, and of course, the three-sum dessert dumplings. Honestly, though, you cannot go wrong at Dumpling Time in San Francisco, no matter what you order.
If you are headed to San Francisco, I highly recommend eating at Dumpling Time! If you are looking for high-quality and authentic dumplings, this is the place for you.
